To the Citizens of Great Bend:

I have sat next to Alan Moeder for six years at council and have been able to witness firsthand his thought process and witness him offering solid advice in tough situations. The ability to listen to all sides respectfully and make a unpopular decision is not something anyone looks forward to doing, but it is often a part of local governments that are threading the needle with a budget they don’t want to increase.

Owning his own business, he is aware of how important timely service is to customers. This carries over to his volunteer council work. Call him directly. He’ll answer the phone, listen, and have a discussion about your concern. He trusts the city staff and the city staff appears comfortable working with him.

Alan has the tenacity to attack issues head on and look for alternate solutions outside of the box. We were able to create and offer our first responders a one-of-a-kind, unique retirement solution that solved a lot of retention issues due in part to the work of Councilman Moeder.

While I am leaving the governing body after eight years in January, I have worked and interacted with a large list of council members, mayors, and administrators/staff. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. I am confident that Alan Moeder has the ability to continue to push the community forward into the future with a solid footing based in a logical approach. Please consider this my endorsement and request that you vote for Alan Moeder for Great Bend Mayor in November.
