Who’s on the list?

To the editor,

President Trump continues to throw out daily distractions in an attempt to wear out public attention on the Epstein files. He continues to call them a “hoax” even doing so while victims were in Washington, D.C., begging him to release the files. Some of the victims even said they voted for him because he said he would release the files. We now know from the transcript of the interview that Gislane Maxwell told attorney general Todd Blanche that some of Jeffery Epstein’s associates who were “unjustly vilified” also serve in Donald Trump’s cabinet. Blanche ignored the answer and quickly changed the subject.

Whether or not there is a “list” in the files we now know that there is a record of over 4,000 wire transfers from banks all over the world totaling over a billion dollars into Epstein’s account at JP Morgan. Those could be traced to create a list. We still do not know what Epstein did to amass his wealth. Trump is so desperate to stop the release of the files that he told Republicans that he would consider a vote to release the files “hostile” action.

As of Sept. 12 we know that threat cowered our two senators, Moran and Marshall, because a vote to release the files was forced and all Republicans except Josh Hawley and Rand Paul voted against the release. In the House the discharge petition to force a vote on the release of the files only needs one more Republican signature after securing all the Democrats and four Republicans. Kansas has three chances to provide that one signature. Hopefully a vote in the House will be forced so we know where our representatives stand. We need to know that because with the Senate vote in favor of not releasing the pedophile’s records they will not be released. That vote shows the depravity of our two incumbent senators. We need a vote in the House to show where the hearts of our representatives reside. Then we need to remember in the next election.
