LAKE BARTON – The 4-man scramble team of Brandon Wells, Bryce Wells, Matt Karlin and Lance Perez captured the 13th Cougar Open Golf Tournament firing a 55 for a 3-stroke victory over three other teams shooting 58s.

Thirty teams competed to support Barton Community College athletics at Lake Barton Golf Course.

The annual event organized and sponsored by the Bartton Booster Club chaired by Eric Gotsche, in addition to, the generosity of donors, provides a fundraising activity for Athletics through participation, sponsors, and raffle opportunities.

Three squads tied for first flight honors compiling a 62 score with the tandem of Doug Kaiser, Tracey Wagner, Lyle Stickney and Alan Crowther winning the tiebreaker.

Similarly, tiebreakers decided the second flight deadlock at 66 with Trevor Rolfs, Chris Huggans, Cole Schwarz, and Mark Panning won the second flight.

Through the generous donations of sponsors, more than $6,000 of prizes were raffled, as well as a multitude of hole prizes.
