HUTCHINSON 58, BARTON 57

The No. 15 Barton Cougars were one play away from sending rival Hutchinson Community College to the worst league start in school history.

The Blue Dragons delivered a late-game miracle with a game-winning 3-pointer by Lolo Rudolph for a shocking 58-57 Jayhawk Conference basketball victory.

The Cougars (8-3, 3-2 Jayhawk) led 57-55, but missed an opportunity to win the game by earning a shot-clock violation with nine seconds left.

The only way the Cougars would lose was if the Dragons made a 3-pointer, and that's exactly what Rudolph did off a pass from Daleron Thomas.
