BAT CATS 7, JUNCTION CITY BRIGADE 3 — Great Bend stranded nine baserunners and left the bases loaded twice in a 3-3 tie.

Andrugh Yee's bases-loaded double scored Luke Nohinek, Kyle Walker and T.J. Shaw to spark a 4-run ninth inning Monday. J.J. Fontana scored on a wild pitch after leading off with a single. Nohinek was hit by a pitch and Walker's perfect bunt single loaded the bases off pitcher Trevor Laughlin.

The Bat Cats (15-11, 14-9 Jayhawk) snapped a 3-game losing streak with the victory over Junction City (13-11, 11-11 Jayhawk). The Bat Cats journey to Hutchinson (20-5, 18-5) Wednesday to challenge the Jayhawk Collegiate League leader.

Bat Cats pitcher Carson Umphres (3-1, 2.65 ERA) worked a masterful 90-pitch outing with four strikeouts and zero walks.

Tony Moore singled home Tyler Clementz to start  2-run second inning. Moore scored on Walker's bases-loaded walk.

Junction City's Eric Bradicich's double scored P Firgens in a 3-run fourth inning. Brayden Harpole scored on a wild pitch. Bradicich scored on Gannon White's single for a 3-2 lead.

Shaw singled, moved up on Yee's single and scored on an Elias Leon fifth-inning single. Leon preserved a 3-3 tie y throwing out G Yonto in the seventh inning.
