ARKANSAS CITY — The Barton Cougar women survived a pair of potential game-winning shots by Cowley College for a 66-65 overtime Jayhawk Conference basketball showdown at the William Scott Auditorium.

Cowley's Destiny Yates missed a breakaway layup after a steal and leading scorer Hattie Pyle missed the rebound attempt at the final buzzer.

The Cougars tied it 59-59 with an 11-4 run after trailing 55-48 with 45-seconds in regulation. Donanu scores and Aliana Eck capped a personal 9-point run with a 3-pointer with 4.7 seconds in regulation. Cowley's Jaiden Smith missed the game-winning 3-pointer.

Kodi Greer's 3-pointer supplied Barton the lead  followed by Regina Donanu's  jumper for a 66-62 lead.

Vivian Onugha recorded her 12th straight double-double with 17 points, 17 rebounds and four assists. Brittany Simpson scored 15 points with a trio of fourth-quarter 3-pointers with three assists, two steals and two blocks.

Eck scored Barton's final nine points and forced overtime on her 3-pointer. Donanu contributed 10 points and eight rebounds.

Barton (11-11, 6-9 Jayhawk) avenged a setback against Cowley (13-8, 8-8). Barton plays Butler after the Grizzlies (15-5, 10-5) won the first meeting 63-46.

Barton converted six 3-pointers after halftime, 4-of-4 in the fourth quarter to finish at 46% (27-71). Cowley shot 27% (22-81), going 10-of-46 from outside.

Alexcia Murphy rounded out Cowley's double-figure scoring adding 11 points,  four blocks and three steals.

Cowley's Pyle scored 25 points with seven rebounds and four assists including 4 of 4 on 3-pointers.
