Barton's Sebastian Muchitsch converted the go-ahead 3-pointer to spark the No. 1 Cougars past rival Hutchinson 94-89 in Wednesday's Jayhawk Conference basketball opener. Muchitsch's 3-pointer was followed by two clinching free throws by Aris Rodriguez in overtime.

Scoring in double figures were Keandre Kindell (19), Rodriguez (16), Sebastian Muchitsch (16), Brent Moss (12), Modibo Sanogo (10) and Lucas N'Gombo (10), who converted 5-of-5 shots.
