Panther places eighth
LIBERAL — Great Bend Panther Ethan Somers placed eighth (79) with a season-low score to earn second-team All-Western Athletic golf honors at the Liberal Golf Invitational May 13.
The Panthers (341) placed fifth also counting scores by 11th-place Alec Premer (82), 13th Nash Lindberg (83) and 28th Eli Somers (97).
Dodge City (307) won the team title led by medalist A.J. Peters (70).

Cardinal places seventh at CKL
PRATT — Hoisington's Logan Cossel (84) earned seventh-medalist honors and Nolan Jacobs (97) tied for eighth at the Central Kansas League golf tournament May 12 at Pratt's Park Hills Country Club.
The Cardinals placed third (358) by also counting scores by 13th-place Karson Kinman (92) and 15th Peyton Kinman (95).
Pratt (324) won the CKL title keyed by medalist Grant McAtee (72) and runner-up Beau Ferrell (77).
