The Great Bend Bombers 13-and-under finished runner-up at the Omaha. Neb. AAA/Major Slumpbuster baseball tournament. The Bombers feature 2 Landon Green, 7 Kason Stone, 8 Colton Staudinger, 10 Keiston Evans-Grant, 11 Brody Brayner, 13 Jordy Meyer, 15 Peyton White, 16 Cohen Haberman, 26 Kamden Woods and 35 Brady Karlin. No. 5 Reid Pfortmiller missed the tournament. Coaches are Gerrie Meyer, John Staudinger, Kenton Meyer and Mike Minton.

OMAHA, Neb. — The Great Bend Bombers 13-and-under baseball team finished runner-up in the 16-team bracket at the AAA/Major Slumpbuster tournament. The field featured 120 teams from across the country.

The No. 31 seeded Bombers (26-13-2) finished 2-2-1 in pool play and entered bracket play against the second-highest ranked team and pulled off three consecutive wins.

The Bombers upset Kalaveras from San Marcos, Calif. 8-4 and lost the championship game 5-4 in 10 innings against another California team.

CALIF. BOMBERS 5, BOMBERS 4 (1ST) — The Greenbrae, Calif. Bombers outlasted Great Bend's Bombers 5-4 in 10 innings. Both teams scored four first-inning runs.

Bombers pitcher Cohen Haberman threw six shutout innings. Kason Stone drove in two runs. Peyton White and Kamden Woods each drove in one run.

BOMBERS 5, NEW JERSEY PRIDE 3 (SEMIFINAL) —  Bomber Kason Stone tripled home Haberman and Landon Green for the game-winning runs.  Colton Staudinger yielded one earned run in six innings. Stone drove home three runs.

BOMBERS 13, NEBRASKA PRIME 0 (QUARTERFINAL) — Bomber Haberman doubled twice and Brody Braymer homered to spark the Bombers past Nebraska Prime. Peyton White doubled and drove home four runs. Keiston Evans-Grant and Braymer each drove home two runs.

Braymer pitched three shutout innings with three strikeouts to earn the victory.

BOMBERS 8, CALIF. KALAVERAZ 4 — The Bombers surprised No. 2 seed Kalaveraz from San Marcos, Calif. 8-4 in the first-round of bracket play. The Bombers scored seven runs in the first two innings.

Stone homered and drove home two runs. Braymer, White and Staudinger each drove home one run, Staudinger, Haberman and White each doubled.

BOMBERS 10, OKLAHOMA EXPRESS 6 — Landon Green drove home five runs with a trio of hits to spark a 17-hit attack. Keiston Evans-Grant and Kamden Woods drove in one run.

BOMBERS 8, ATHLETICS 0 — Bombers pitchers Stone, White, Staudinger and Jordy Meyer combined for a 4-hit shutout.

Green homered, White tripled, and Woods doubled, and all three each drove home two runs. Stone doubled home a run,

BOMBERS 8, JAVELINAS 8 — Braymer's RBI double drove home Meyer with the eventual tying run in an 8-8 tie. Stone and Evans-Grant each drove home runs. 

TITANS, HENDERSON 12, BOMBERS 4 — Stone and Evans-Grant each drove home runs for the Bombers.

CALIF. HAWKS 13, BOMBERS 7 — Stone doubled and drove home a trio of runs. White, Meyer and Stone each drove in a run.
