HOISINGTON GIRLS 60, STERLING 51 — Hoisington's Kelsi Maier enjoyed a career high night with 22 points and Marley Bittel added 19 points as the Cardinals held off Sterling 60-51 in Tuesday's non-league basketball game.

Sterling sliced a 15-point lead to 52-49 when Bittel converted an 18-footer with 70 seconds left. Tianna Lutters converted four free throws and Bittel added two in the final minute.

Sterling's Kaitlyn Lewis scored 17 points and Allie Gray added 13 points.

STERLING 65, HOISINGTON 26 — Sterling's all-stater Boston Ekart can issue a challenge to Great Bend all-stater Ian Premer after throwing down a slam dunk on Zane Farney's pass off the backboard in a 65-26 rout of Hoisington Tuesday night.

Ekart dominated the paint with 26 points after outplaying Ian Premer Saturday night at Kingman. Blake Smith added 10 points for the No. 1 ranked 2A Black Bears.

Hoisington's Mason Martin achieved a feat with buzzer-beaters to end the first and third quarters en route to 14 points.
