BENNINGTON — Ellinwood freshman Eleanor Joiner captured the 800 meters (2:30.41) and 1,600-meters (5:38.16) at Friday's Bennington track meet.

Runner-up medals were earned by Alya Ritchie, 400 (1:04.94) and the Eagles 3,200-meter relay (11:52.78) with Lexi Thomas, Heidi Brauer, Madison Dombroski and Lauren Ringwald.

Ellinwood's boys captured a trio of gold medals by Dawson Sunderland, 100 (12.03); Landon Simpson, long jump (19-91/2) and the 1,600-meter relay (3:44.07) with Sunderland, Ryan Pohlman, Erik Grose and Simpson

Cason Merritt placed runner-up in the pole vault (12-0).
