ELLINWOOD 78, CHASE 24 — Ellinwood raced to a 46-6 halftime lead and coasted past Chase 78-24 in Friday's Central Prairie League basketball game.

The Eagles (4-3, 2-0 CPL) placed Landon Simpson (14), Drake Hosman (14), Heinz (11) and Rylan Wirtz (11) in double figures. Layton Winkelman led Chase (0-8, 0-4) with eight points.

Beloit's Cassandra Thompson scored 21 points and Addison Budke added 18 points as the Trojans' twosome dominated inside.
