SYLVAN GROVE — The Ellinwood baseball team will ride into postseason after rolling past the Sylvan/Lucas Mustangs 13-2 and 12-2 in  pair of non-league wins. Ellinwood (13-11) will play Bennington (7-13) in the 2-1A Hays baseball regional after ending the year 7-1.

EAGLES 13, MUSTANGS 2 (G1) — Pitcher Trace Tudor (3-5) continued his progress with another solid start with eight strikeouts in 42/3 innings.

Cohen Gunn led a 13-hit attack with two hits, two runs scored and four runs batted home. Campbell Coleman drove in two runs with two doubles. Banks Jacobs drove in two runs. Tudor and Cade Coleman each drove in a run.

The Eagles scored eight unearned runs off eight Mustang errors.

EAGLES 12, MUSTANGS 2 (G2) — Ace pitcher Drake Hosman (7-1) struck out eight batters to solidify the No. 1 spot in the Eagles rotation.

Cohen Gunn drove in two runs. Hosman, Gavin Kubick, Cooper Gunn and Bryce Williams each drove in one run.

The Eagles took advantage of 11 walks and scored three unearned runs off eight Mustang errors.

Cooper Gunn and Shea Hoskins each drove in three runs. Cohen Gunn and Trace Tudor each drove home two runs. Drake Hosman, Campbell Coleman and Cade Coleman each drove home a run.

EAGLES 13, LIONS 2 (G2) — Tudor delivered five RBI with a pair of doubles. Hosman, Hoskins and Cohen Gunn each drove home two runs. Banks Jacobs and Cooper Gunn drove in a run.
