ELLINWOOD — Ellinwood's softball team stretched its winning streak to five wins over Ellis 16-6 and 9-8 Tuesday. Pitcher Bennett Jacobs (12-10) earned both victories. Ellis drops to 4-16.

ELLINWOOD 16, ELLIS 6 (G1) — Ellinwood's Shyria Quintana stayed red hot with four hits, three runs scored and four RBI. Kennedy Behnke delivered four hits, four runs scored and three runs batted home. 

Makynna Bryant drove home two runs. Jenaveve Franco and Anna Hahn each drove in a run. Jacobs scored four runs. 

ELLINWOOD 9, ELLIS 8 (G2) — Ellinwood's Kyndal Moore singled in Jacobs and Behnke for the game-deciding sixth-inning runs.

Jacobs, Quintana and Jenna Borror scored runs. The Eagles scored several runs on passed balls and wild pitches.

Shortstop Behnke turned a sixth-inning double play. Ellis' Brooke Starns drove in two runs.
