HAYS — Great Bend earned eight pins to dominate Hays High 70-18 to capture the Western Athletic Conference wrestling championship, Great Bend finished 18-1 in duals, 4-0 in WAC matches.

Great Bend's Avery Wolf (113), No. 5 state-ranked Wyatt Weber (120), No. 6 Carsyn Schooler (132), No. 2 George Weber (138), Quinn Hoffman (145), Owen Ridgeway (160), No. 4 Alex Randolph (170) and Eli Witte (195) earned wins on pins. Also winning were No. 4 Kaden Spragis (106), No. 5 Drew Liles (126) and No. 1 Gage Fritz (39-1).

The No. 4 ranked Panthers compete at 5A regionals Feb. 22.
