Great Bend's girls won the 5A state country title in 2000. Head coach Todd Kaiser and assistant coach Diane Guthrie featured 5th-place Jackie Dunn, 8th-place Kinzie Manning, 10th-place Kendra Chambers, 12th-place Rebecca Webster and 15th place Amanda Reinhart. Other team members were Darcy Esfeld, Carley Mason, Dani McCaulley, Nicole Pounds and Teresa Snyder.

This fall will mark the 25th anniversary of Great Bend's girls capturing back-to-back 5A state cross country championships at Lawrence's Rim Rock Farm.

Great Bend's girls won its first of two 5A state country titles in 2000.

Head coach Todd Kaiser and assistant coach Diane Guthrie featured 5th-place medalist Jackie Dunn and top 20 medalists in 8th-place Kinzie Manning, 10th-place Kendra Chambers, 12th-place Rebecca Webster and 15th place Amanda Reinhart.

Other team members were Darcy Esfeld, Carley Mason, Dani McCaulley, Nicole Pounds and Teresa Snyder.

Great Bend's girls won a second 5A state country title in 2001 behind quality runners. The Panthers scored 77 points to beat Blue Valley West (91). Shawnee Heights' Trisa Nickoley (11:52.2) won the state title.

Head coach Todd Kaiser featured 10th-place medalist Kendra Chambers (12:39.4) and 11th place medalist Amanda Reinhart (12;40.2).
