SALINA — Great Bend’s Cole Streck shot rounds of 73 and 75 during the recent Kansas Junior Amateur Championship at Salina Municipal Golf Course.

Streck birded Nos. 7, 8, 10 and 18 while shooting 3-over-par 73 with nines of 34 and 39. Streck birdied Mos. 2 and 7 while shooting 5-over-par 75 with nines of 34 and 41.

Great Bend's Brantley Baldwin shot rounds of 80 and 79. He birdied No. 2 his first round and Nos. 7 and 8 his second round.

Andover's Cooper Schultz shot 13-under par 197 to capture the Junior Amateur championship.

Streck and Baldwin are scheduled to compete Wednesday and Thursday at Dodge City's Mariah Hills Golf Course.

SUMMER GOLF

6-11 (HUTCHINSON)—Streck placed 11th with rounds of 78-75 (153) at Carey Park Golf Course. Baldwin placed 19th with rounds of 80 and 79 (159). Larned's Easton Fitzpatrick placed 45th with rounds of 95-103 (198).   

6-23 (DODGE CITY)— Streck finished fifth with rounds of 78 and 76 (154) at Mariah Hills Golf Course and Dodge City Country Club. Streck birdied Nos. 1 and 11 the first round and Nos. 3 and 16 the second round.

Cal Dunekack finished 10th with rounds of 87 and 80 (167) with birdies at No. 6 and 16. 

6-29 (GARDEN CITY)— Streck birdied No. 15 to highlight a 75 (38-37) with a birdie at the 15th hole at Buffalo Dunes Golf Course.   

7-1 (LIBERAL)— Streck enjoyed the wildest round of the summer with an amazing six birdies that were offset by six bogeys. Streck shot even par 72 (36-36) and birdied Nos. 1, 3, 8, 10, 14 and 18 at Willow Tree Golf Course.      

7-8/9 (DODGE CITY)— Streck and Baldwin are signed up for the Kansas Golf Association Tour Championship at Dodge City.
