ELLINWOOD 68, NESS CITY 39 — Landon Simpson sparked amazing perimeter shooting with 36 points and five 3-pointers as the Eagles routed Ness City 68-30 in Tuesday's Central Prairie League basketball game.

The Eagles converted 12 field goals from 3-point range to outscore Ness City 36-9. Layton Wirtz added 11 points.

Ness City's Broxton Gall scored 14 points.

ELLINWOOD GIRLS 64, NESS CITY 22 — Ellinwood's improving Julia Schlessiger dominated the paint with 19 points and Alyvia Batchman scored 17 points with a trio of 3-pointers for a 64-22 Central Prairie basketball victory over Ness City.

Ellinwood (11-2, 5-1 CPL) led 33-14 at halftime. Ness City's Ashlyn Tillitson scored 17 points.

HOISINGTON 55, PHILLIPSBURG 36 — Red-hot Hoisington's Rhen Galla scored a career high 23 points and Mason Martin chipped in 14 points as the Winter Jam champions kept rolling with a dominating 55-36 non-league basketball victory.

The Cardinals (7-6) outscored the Panthers 24-7 in the decisive third quarter.

PHILLIPSBURG GIRLS 39, HOISINGTON 21 —  Phillipsburg's Chloe VanDerVeen and Chloe Jacobs each scored 10 points as the Panthers' defense shut down Hoisington's 3-point shooting for a 39-21 non-league basketball victory.

Hoisington's Kinley Wilkens scored nine points. Sharpshooters Tianna Lutters (5) and Marley Bittel (2) were defended superbly.
