Larned splits with Pratt Legion

PRATT – Larned pitcher Tristan Regan pitched five ho-hit innings with six strikeouts in a 5-0 Legion baseball victory over Pratt.

Pratt won Monday’s opener 5-4.

LARNED 5, PRATT 0 (G2) – Larned’s Regan preserved a shutout when he struck out Drake Riffey and shortstop Caden Morgan threw out Cole Fisher at home on an attempted double steal. Deacon Martin completed a 2-hit shutout with two scoreless innings.

Carson Shaver scored on Caden Morgan’s first-inning groundout.  Morgan singled in Martin and Carson Shaver scored on a third-inning error for a 3-0 lead.

Mason Miller scored on a sixth-inning error. Antonio Torres scored on Regan’s seventh-inning sacrifice fly.

PRATT 5, LARNED 4 (G1) – Larned’s five errors led to five unearned runs and a 5-4 loss.

Pratt’s Fisher singled in Caiden Smiley and Gavin Giggy for the tying and game-winning fifth-inning runs. Smiley walked and Giggy reached on an error.

Larned’s Caden Morgan singled home Martin in the first inning. Carson Shaver doubled home his brother Caden Shaver in the second inning.

Pratt’s Fisher and M Thimesch scored on a second-inning error for a 2-2 tie. M Inslee scored on a third-inning groundout.

Carson Shaver’s fourth-inning triple scored Torres and Caden Shaver for a 4-3 lead.
