LIBERAL – Liberal's Nate White and Cody Bigford each drove home three runs as the Bee Jays routed the Great Bend Bat Cats 14-3 in Wednesday's non-league baseball game.

NBC World Series-bound Liberal (28-6) and the Bat Cats (18-20) meet again at 7 p.m. Thursday. The Bee Jays have won four of six games against the Bat Cats.

The Bat Cats scored a pair of first-inning runs. Jake Baker singled home Alex Rodgers after an opening single. Collin Meinert scored on Brady Michel's sacrifice fly. Chandler Bloomer scored on Chance Ragsdale's sixth-inning sacrifice fly.

The Bee Jays scored four first-inning runs and seven times in the second inning. White delivered a two-run double and Aidan Shepardson delivered a sacrifice fly. Bigford drilled a two-run triple and Shepardson, A.J. Folds, White, Caeden Trenkle and Bryce Donovan drove home runs for an 11-2 lead.

Trenkle delivered an RBI single and Bigford scored on a third-inning passed ball for a 13-2 lead. Bigford singled home Folds for a 14-3 run-rule victory.
