HESSTON — Central Plains Oiler Camden Stiles (4-1) placed fifth and doubles partners Paxton Dody/Peyton Dody placed seventh at the rugged Hesston Mark Dahlsten Tennis Tournament Thursday.

Stiles downed Newton's Ethan Downey 8-4 for fifth place. Newton's Nathaniel Haines/Emerson Gering defeated Dody/Dody 8-3 for seventh place. 

Perennial 3-1A state champion Wichita Collegiate (126) placed first. The Oilers (72) tied 4A McPherson (72) for fifth place.
