ELLSWORTH — Central Plains No. 1 singles Eliza Jeffrey placed runner-up to lead the Oiler girls tennis team to third place (50 points) at Monday's Ellsworth Tennis Invitational. Ellsworth's Karli Haase defeated Jeffrey, 8-2 in the championship match.
Oiler No. 2 singles Charlee Schlessiger placed third 8-5 over Smoky Valley's Zora Carver. No. 1 doubles Ashtyn Robl/Emery Siemsen placed fourth with an 8-4 loss to Trego's Annika Dietz/Trista Smith. No. 2 doubles Aevyn Siemsen/Boston Robison finished third 8-1 over WaKeeney Trego's Reagan Daubert/Savannah Malsam.
Ellsworth (67) captured first place at No. 1 singles, No. 1 doubles and No. 2 singles.
