Oilers' doubles team places third

ELLSWORTH – Central Plains Oilers Ryann Metro/Grace Lamatsch (3-1) downed Ellsworth’s Felis De La Cruz/Elena Jundt 8-6 for third place at Thursday’s Ellsworth Tennis Tournament.

Oilers Eliza Jeffrey/Boston Robison finished with an 0-3 record.

Chapman’s Josie Baer defeated Oiler Charlee Schlessiger (1-3) for 11th place. Oiler Whitney Armstrong finished with an 0-3 record.

Central Plains scored 15 points to place fifth. Ellsworth won the team title with 60 points.
