ELL-SALINE 36, CENTRAL PLAINS 6, 8-MAN 1 DISTRICT 3 — Ell-Saline's defense intercepted three passes to shut down the Central Plains high-powered passing game for a dominating 36-6 victory in 8-Man, District 3.
Oiler back Broc Klima scored on a 1-yard touchdown. Quarterback Brodie Crites was intercepted three times and the Oilers lost a fumble.
The Oilers (5-3, 3-2) will head to Sylvan-Lucas (7-1) for a playoff rematch of last year's classic 40-38 overtime victory over the Mustangs.
Ell-Saline quarterback Reese Krone was spectacular with 232 yards offense, three passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns on 1 and 9 yards. Collin Dent caught 9- and 29-yard touchdown receptions. Tony Williams caught a 25-yard scoring pass.
Ell-Saline (7-1, 5-0) advances as the top seed from District 3.
