LINDSBORG — Central Plains Oiler Camden Stiles (24-5) and Peyton Dody/Alden Metro (27-3) finished as regional runners-up to qualify for the 3-1A state tennis tournament.

Hoisington's Jasper Pawlowski (23-3) downed Stiles 6-3, 6-4 in the championship match. Stiles finished fourth at 3-1A state last year.

Central Plains (16 points) edged Hoisington (15) for the regional team title.

Smoky Valley's Jack Bieker/Pierce Keller defeated Dody/Metro, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 in the championship match.

Oilers Richard Hayes/Scott Lamatsch (24-6) finished fourth at the Lindsborg regional to qualify for 3-1A state.

Hoisington also qualified third-place finisher Gabriel Pawlowski (24-1) and fifth-place doubles qualifier Leyton Mooney/Xander Mooney (17-10).

The Mooney brothers defeated Ellinwood's 2-time state qualifier Ty Hammeke/Ethan Schlochtermeier (24-9), 6-2, 2-6, 6-2 for fifth place.
