SALINA — Twin Valley League all-staters — Hanover's Anna Jueneman and Centralia's Oen Deters led the Blue past the Gold 70-61 in Saturday's KBCA All-Star Basketball Game. Jueneman scored 12 points. Deters scored 10 points with four steals.
Jueneman led Hanover to three straight Class 1A Division 2 state basketball titles and two state volleyball championships. She captured three 400 meters and two 200 meter state titles. Centralia captured the 2025 Division 1 state basketball title.
Wellington's Val Norwood scored 16 points to lead the Gold. She was named KBCA Miss Kansas Basketball. Wellington edged SM Miege 53-48 in the 4A state championship game.
Central Plains Oiler Marilyn Soeken contributed six points and three assists for the Gold. Andover’s Aliyah Green, Arkansas City’s Saliyah Henderson-Johnson and Hoxie’s Emily Bainter each scored seven points.
