Hoisington's Ava Martin (24:49.5) finished 11th. Central Plains' Kaymi Zink (28:34.4) played 23rd.
BOYS DIVISION — Stafford's returning eighth-place state medalist Joel Valadez (17:26.7) placed runner-up behind South Barber's Joshua McKinney (17:05.1). Central Plains' Cale Thompson (18:47.6) placed eighth.
Larned's Lane Elam (19:12.4) finished 12thh to pace the Indians (105) to sixth place.
