Panther golfer qualifies for 5A state

SALINA – Great Bend Panther Ethan Somers shot a career low 83 to qualify for the 5A state golf tournament in Tuesday’s regional at Salina Municipal Golf Course.

The Panthers (389) placed seventh, also counting scores by 32nd Nash Lindberg (92), 38th Jacob Hall (104) and 41st Cadin Spore (110).

Maize South (295) won the team title. Salina South’s Maddox Xaysongkham (67) earned medalist honors.
