Panthers golfers earn medals

GARDEN CITY – Great Bend’s Ashlyn Harbaugh (99) and Kendyl Henning (99) tied for seventh medalist at Thursday’s Garden City Golf Invitational at Buffalo Dunes Golf Course. The temperature hit 93 degrees with winds ranging to 15 mph.

The Panthers (422) placed fifth also counting scores by 22nd-place Dakota Baldwin (111), 23rd-place Kirsten Miessler (113), 25th-place Allyson Kaiser (114) and 25th-place Daltrey Kurth (114).

“Ashlyn Harbaugh and Kendyl Henning played well respectively on a tough golf course (Buffalo Dunes), tying for seventh overall,” said Great Bend coach Travis McAtee.

The Panthers return to golf action at Monday’s Hoisington Invitational at Lake Barton Golf Course. The Panthers will not compete at a scheduled tournament at Hutchinson’s Carey Park Golf Course due to CO-VID 19 restrictions on number of players.
