Panthers, Larned compete at state golf

Great Bend 5A state golf qualifier Kylee Miessler

EMPORIA — Great Bend Panther Kylee Miessler shot 107 (54-53) to finish 63rd in the 5A girls state golf tournament. 

Miessler parred Nos. 1 and 15 at Emporia Municipal Golf Course in 70-degree temperatures and 20 mph wind. 


SALINA — Larned Indian Ariana Meyer shot 92 (45-47) Monday to qualify for the second round at the 3-1A girls state golf tournament at Salina Municipal Golf Course. Meyer birdied the 14th hole and parred Nos. 3 and 6 for 25th place after 18 holes.

Larned (426) finished 12th. The Indians counted scores by Taeten Reynolds (107); Khloe Smith (112) and Cammie DePeugh (115).
