After nearly rallying from a 9-run deficit, Great Bend's baseball team earned a split with a solid 8-4 victory over the Pratt Greenbacks (3-1) Thursday at the Great Bend Sports Complex.

PANTHERS 8, PRATT 4 (G2) —Great Bend's hard-throwing Jaxon Wondra rallied from a rugged start with nine strikeouts in a 6-inning outing.

Pratt's Cresten Pore drilled a 2-run Homer and Landon Demuth scored on a groundout for three early runs.

The Panthers (3-3) drew eight walks and ran the bases superbly for eight runs.

Daxton Minton and Christian Alcala scored on wild pitches and Rafael Chavez scored on an error in a 3-run first inning. Kaito Richter's third-inning single scored Kale Kern and Koehn Ribordy.. 

Ribordy scored on Jaxon Wondra's fourth-inning single. Ribordy and Alcala scored on sixth-inning wild pitches for an 8-3 lead. 

PRATT 9, PANTHERS 7 (G1) — After trailing 9-0, the Panthers rallied for seven runs with the tying runner on base when Ribordy struck out.

Pore's 2-run homer and two RBIs by Josiah Schmidt staked Pratt pitcher Caleb Strong to a 9-run lead.
