LIBERAL — Great Bend's girls soccer team continues to surprise the Western Athletic Conference after not winning a league game for seven years.

Great Bend's turnaround season continued with a shocking 2-1 victory over Liberal Tuesday. The Panthers (4-2, 2-0 WAC) lead the WAC for the first time and have won both league games on the road.

Garden City (1-2-1) visits Great Bend Thursday.
