Panthers' travel to Wichita North Redhawks

Great Bend (3-0) at Wichita North (0-3) -- The Great Bend Panthers travel to Wichita North Friday with the Redhawks riding a state-worst 62-game losing streak dating back to 2018. 

The Redhawks beat Liberal 13-6 for their last victory on the field. The Redhawks are credited with a pair of wins over that span because of opposing players ruled ineligible. The Redhawks have won six football games over the past 15 years.

Great Bend is averaging 167 yards rushing and 189 yards passing per game. Quarterback Daxton Minton has thrown for 533 yards and five touchdowns. Connor Holladay has rushed for 297 yards and Minton 134. Ian Premer has 11 catches for 205 yards. Cooper Ohnmacht has 17 catches for 181 yards. Ian Premer and Ohnmacht each have two interceptions. Kale Kern (33 tackles) and Trenton Kern (26) lead the rushing defense.

Wichita North is averaging 50 yards rushing and 90 yards passing per game. Quarterback Armoni Lopez has thrown for 270 yards. Kam Short has a 61-yard touchdown reception.
