ST. JOHN 64, STAFFORD 36 (8-Man 2, District 7) — St. John quarterback Braxton Alpers exploited the shotgun formation for a school record 356 yards rushing and six touchdowns to lead the Tigers past Stafford 64-36 in Friday's 8-Man 2, District 7 showdown. Braxton Alpers completed an 18-yard touchdown pass to Jericho Mawhirter. He sparked the defense with 15 tackles and assists and a forced fumble.

The Tigers gained 447 yards rushing on 39 attempts. Easton Alpers rushed for 54 yards and scored a touchdown. Jace Reyes scored on a 6-yard run and contributed nine tackles.

Stafford quarterback Dylan Brozek contributed 397 yards offense and five touchdowns. Brozek rushed for 147 yards and scored twice, including a 45-yard scoring dash. Brozek threw for 250 yards with receiver Landon Marks catching six balls for 220 yards and a trio of touchdowns.
