ANKENY, Iowa —  Dr. Michael Miller, formerly of Great Bend, recently joined the chiropractic team at Bountiful Life Chiropractic Center, in Ankeny, Iowa.

Dr. Miller earned his Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) from Cleveland University Chiropractic and Health Sciences – Kansas City. He completed 3 ½ years of advanced degree education, including more than 4,500 classroom and clinical hours, and passing five board exams through the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Dr. Miller studied the Gonstead chiropractic technique, focusing on extremities such as elbows, knees, shoulders, ankles, and the jaw, and the importance of spinal function and its relationship to the nervous system and good health. In addition, he completed 30 Gonstead seminars and conferences and earned the title of the Kansas City’s 2018 Gonstead Intern.

Miller taught high school for several years and coached football. He has been a personal trainer serving all ages and participated in Olympic-style weightlifting. While earning his master’s degree in exercise science at the University of Louisiana – Monroe, he was a collegiate strength coach, training athletes and working with coaches to identify movement patterns, develop coaching plans, and help athletes build stronger bodies to perform at peak levels.

Dr. Miller’s career change to chiropractic at age 35 is evidence of his passion for helping patients have better health outcomes and enjoy the active lifestyle they were designed to live, said Dr. Michael LaBounty at Bountiful Life Chiropractic Center.

“Dr. Miller adds a lot of value to what our patients can experience at Bountiful Life,” LaBounty said. “Specifically, his vast experience in exercise, strength building, family health, and gentle care for all. Dr. Miller believes in a team approach to health care. Not only does he further increase the team style within our clinic, but he also focuses on working together with patients and their families to improve the overall health of the entire family.”

Miller, his wife Kristen and their three boys Garrison, Easton and recent addition Hudson, recently moved to Ankeny and said they look forward to building their new life in the community and making a difference in the lives of others.

Miller is a 2001 graduate of Great Bend High School. His parents, Tim and Kathy Miller, are lifelong residents of Great Bend. After high school, he graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe in 2005.
