The team at Marketing Maven Consulting has an “extremely fun” profession, business founder and CEO Rachel Mawhirter told Great Bend Chamber members at this week’s Chamber Coffee.
“We get to work in many different industries,” she said. “We get to know so much. I think that’s the most rewarding part – every single day is a little bit different and the clients we work with teach us a lot.”
Marketing Maven acts as an outsourced department, handling advertising, social media, website design, graphic design, video production and event planning for medium to large companies. The firm also offers brand management and one-off services like training and presentations.
“We do complete branding for new businesses, from their logo and signage to social templates and whatever they need to get up and running,” she said.
The variety of industries they have represented includes auto re-marketing, manufacturing, veterinary, health care, agriculture and ranching, and real estate.
This homegrown business has spread with each contact. “Our clients are nationwide and even international,” Mawhirter said.
Lee Ann June with Great Bend Economic Development praised Marketing Maven.
“Rachel has spoken to several of our entrepreneurship classes, giving her journey and giving the ins and outs of starting your business.” GBED had also been a client. For example, “the mavens” captured parade video via drones, edited the video and created something GBED could post on its website.
“I appreciate that,” Mawhirter said. “And I want to thank the Great Bend community. Most of our clients actually aren’t here; we mostly work in other places. But what’s really neat is how many people locally do share our content or champion us, or refer to us, and I really appreciate that.”
Chamber President Megan Barfield also praised Marketing Maven and recommended people subscribe to their blog post.
