Preceptor Pi Valentine Queen Rosie Luthi

In February, members of Preceptor Pi Chapter always look forward to crowning a new Valentine Queen. This year’s Queen is Rosie Luthi. Rosie has been a member of Beta Sigma Phi for 50 years.

Chapter members also donated to the Meals on Wheels and Friendship Meals and continued bringing fruit to each meeting for the USD 428 Weekend Backpack Project. They also had the opportunity to work a wedding reception.

With new member Connie Helm in attendance, Susan Brown led members into a discussion about how they came into sorority and they shared some of their special memories of sorority activities.

Cindy Meitler explained the various generations through the 20th century to 2025. From the “Greatest “Generation (1900-1927) which includes most of our parents who lived through WWII, the Spanish flu epidemic, and the depression, through the “Silent” generation to the Baby Boomers (1946-1964) which includes most of us. We came of age during the Vietnam War, the Civil Rights movement and an era of prosperity and technological growth. Our children are part of Generation X (1965-1980), “latch key” kids whose mothers worked and who were shaped by MTV and video games. Then came the Millennials, Gen Z, Generation Alpha and the current Generation Beta.
