Outdoor basketball to be a reality at Eisenhower School
Outdoor courts
This photo shows where the outdoor basketball courts will be built at Eisenhower School.

Great Bend Recreation Commission is proud to announce an exciting project coming soon.  There will be a new outdoor basketball court installed at Eisenhower School.  This court will be completed in the next few months.  Features include a full playing surface, high-quality hoops, court striping, and surrounding benches and shade.  It will be open daily to the public and is part of an ongoing effort to improve recreational facilities and promote healthy lifestyles.  “This project is all about community,” said Chris Umphres, GBRC Director.  “We’re proud to offer a space where families, youth, and athletes can gather, play and grow.  The partnerships in any project like this really add value to our community and I am excited that these partners trust GBRC to oversee this one.  GBRC will recognize these partners during the grand opening.”  Funding for the basketball court comes from the GBRC Foundation, USD 428, Kiwanis Club and community donations.  The GBRC Foundation is a 501c3 and is still open to donations towards this project.
