David Jay Civello

David Jay Civello, 63, passed away Jan. 14, 2020, at the University of Kansas Health Systems – Great Bend Campus. He was born on July 15, 1956, at Sacramento, Calif., to Peter John and Mary (Donaldson) Civello. He married Cheryl Ching on Oct. 10, 2005, at Las Vegas, Nev. She survives. 

Coming from Lancaster, Calif., David had been a Great Bend resident for the last 4 years. He was an aircraft mechanic and was in the United States Air Force. He loved antique cars, hunting, wood working and helping on the farm, but especially loved spending time with his grandkids.  

Survivors include, his wife, Cheryl of the home; three daughters, Brittany Woydziak and husband Shawn of Hoisington, Jamie Eddy and husband Ryan of Kettering, Ohio, and JoAnne McDonough and husband Seth of Gloucester, Mass.; two sisters, Vickie Carman and husband Skip of Chino Hills, Calif., and Jean Nelson and husband Paul of McMinville, Ore.; and five grandchildren, Cali, Rex, Kolt, Jonas and Juniper. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, D.J. Civello. 

Cremation has taken place and a gathering of friends will be held at a later date. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
