Deanne R. Weathers, 84, passed away Feb. 7, 2025, at Clara Barton Hospital, Hoisington, Kan. She was born on April 27, 1940, in Denver, Colo., to Alvin “Al” and Bertha (Tammen) Hanken. On Oct. 28, 1965, she married Larry Weathers in Great Bend, Kan.

A longtime resident of Great Bend, Deanne was a homemaker and a farm wife. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and cherished spending time with her family and beloved yorkie, Abby.

Survivors include her husband of the home; son, Kevin Fox and wife Jane of Larned; step daughters, Annette Weathers and Rhonda Weathers, both of Michigan; two grandchildren, Tyler Fox and wife Sarah of Prosper, Texas, and Katie Havelka and husband Clayton of Rogersville, Mo.; step grandchild, Riley Weathers of Michigan; six great grandchildren, Jackson, Will, and Penny Fox, and Gideon, Noelle, and Eden Havelka; and a brother, Donald Hanken and wife Cathy of Wamego. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2025, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Pastor Jay Welshonse presiding. Interment will follow at Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025, with family receiving guests from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., all at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials have been designated to the Golden Belt Humane Society or Pawnee County Humane Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530.
