Defending 5A triple jump champion Cooper Ohnmacht soared a season-best 46-3 to place first at Thursday's Jack Bowman Track Invitational. 

Ohnmacht jumped 22-6 to capture a second gold medal in the long jump in 95-degree temperatures with a 20 mph south wind. Ohmacht latest event — the javelin — ended with a fifth-place 161-3 effort. 

Panther Tavon Stroup enjoyed a strong day with runner-up medals in the 800 meters (2:05.13) and 1,600 (4:38.69).

Pawnee Heights Tiger Brady Carlson placed third in the triple jump (43-10).
