ELLSWORTH — The Hoisington girls earned a trio of runner-up medals at the Ellsworth junior varsity tennis meet Aug. 27.

In championship matches, Ellsworth's No. 1 singles Landry Rolfs defeated Hoisington's Kaelyn Axman, 6-1; Ellsworth's Maddison Ward defeated Hoisington's Kassie Linsner, 6-5; and Ellsworth's MyKena Dolezal/Bryliee Minear downed Hoisington's Samantha Merlau/Kennedy Mason, 6-1.
