Cardinal wrestler places first at Nickerson

NICKERSON — Hoisington Cardinal Andrea Gonzalez (105/115) placed first with a 17-1 victory over Pratt's Riley Hembree at the Nickerson junior varsity girls wrestling tournament.

Larned's Ivy Hope (125) placed first with a 12-5 victory over Pratt's Blaklyn Reidel.

Ellinwood's Jenaveve Franco (130/135) placed runner-up with a loss (4:51) to Smoky Valley's Brylie Ricketts. Larne's Zachelth placed runner-up with a loss to Hesston's MacKaylie Woltje (3:48).
