Hoisington boys capture Hays title

VICTORIA — Hoisington’s Ian Doss (18:41.5) was seventh medalist and Karter Wolf (18:54.4.) finished ninth to lead the Cardinals to first place (40) at Saturday’s 3-1A Division of the Hays Cross Country Invitational. Also counting for the Cardinals were 13th-place Elijah Lewis (19;12.0) and 15th-place Kamden Tarlton (19:25.3).

Ellinwood’s Asher Miller (19:09.2) placed 12th.

In the girls division, Kynlie Crowdis (23:29.6) placed 12th and Mea Sneath (25:22.6) placed 25th.

The medalists were Meade’s Elijah Zortman (17:42.9) and Colby’s Kathie Chavez (20:51.0).
