ELLSWORTH — Two-time Central Plains state tennis runner-up Peyton Ryan (28-0) downed teammate Camden Stiles (24-6), 6-0, 6-0 in Friday's championship match in the 3-1A Ellsworth tennis regional.

No. 2 seeded Peyton Dody/Paxton Dody (24-6) defeated Meade's No. 1 seed Orvin Dyck/Vincent Lynn, 6-4, 6-2 in the championship match.

Oilers Nethan Cauthon/Alden Metro, CP (25-5) defeated Cimarron's David Mendez/Landon Houseman, 6-3, 6-2 for third place.

The Oilers scored 25 points to dominate the regionals. The Oilers finished with a 14-2 record at regionals. The Oilers will compete Friday and Saturday at the 3-1A state meet at Prairie Village.

"I'm happy. We've put ourselves in a good spot at state by qualifying all four entries," said Central Plains coach Michael Ryan. "The guys deserve it. They 've invested the time to get better. Camden Stiles surprised some people in singles."

Phillipsburg's Nate Fischer downed Hoisington's Brody Rossman, 7-5, 6-0 for a state singles berth.
