Hays High's girls spoiled Great Bend's home soccer opener with a dominating 9-2 victory Tuesday at Cavanaugh Field.

Great Bend's Xali Arias scored a goal off Jillian Reimer's assist. Teegan Guerra's goal was set up an Arias assist.

Great Bend's girls have lost 33 consecutive WAC matches. The Panthers (0-1) return home at 5 p.m. Thursday against the Wichita Warriors.

Hays High's Karlee Crispin scored a trio of goals. Kinslee Newell and Dani Williford each scored a pair of goals. Indians Sienna Simmons and Annie Humphrey scored goals.
