Larned sweeps Vikings

LINDSBORG – Larned stretched its winning streak to nine games by scoring 42 runs in a 17-3 and 25-2 baseball sweep over Smoky Valley. Larned (11-5, 10-4 CKL) drops the Vikings to 1-13, 1-11 CKL).

LARNED 17, VIKINGS 3 (G1) – Larned’s Cade Colglazier drove in three runs and Brady Hope, Caden Morgan and Andres Gonzales each drove in two runs. Carson Shaver (4-1) earned the victory in relief.

LARNED 25, VIKINGS 2 (G2) – Larned’s Tristan Regan drove in four runs with three hits. Hope, Ty Smith and Colglazier each drove in three hits as the Indians staged a hit parade. The Indians scored 13 runs in the third inning. Caden Morgan, Hunter Hobbs and Mason Miller drove in two runs apiece.
