LINDSBORG — Jason Duvall's first game at Larned started perfectly with an opening 4-yard touchdown by Owen Shaver. Duvall's Indians also closed with a Shaver 23-yard touchdown.

Smoky Valley dominated between those scores with a 38-point outburst for a 38-16 Central Kansas League football victory.

Viking Eli Lambert scored on Smoky Valley's first offensive snap on a 55-yard touchdown pass from Mason Riedel. Lambert opened the second half with an 85-yard kickoff return for a 22-8 lead.

Cru Elliott scored on 1- and 6-yard runs. Quarterback Riedel closed the Vikings' scoring on a 50-yard touchdown dash. The Vikings converted four of five 2-point plays.
