OTIS — Otis-Bison's swarming zone defense held Victoria scoreless for 18 minutes as the Cougars downed the Knights 26-12 in Saturday’s Central Prairie League basketball game.

Maddie Wiltse led the Cougars 8-0, 2-0- CPL with nine points and dominant rebounding and several blocks. Cora Anderson scored nine points and Lauren Maier added six points.

The Cougars extended a 8-5 lead to 20-7 when Kassi Weber scored to snap an 18-minute scoreless streak for Victoria 2-5, 0-1 CPL.

OTIS — Victoria outscored Otis-Bison 40-17 in the second and third quarters for a dominating 65-35 Central Prairie League basketball victory.

Victoria’s Kyle Pickering and Thaddeus Wohler scored 15 points apiece and Kirk Huser added 11 points. Otis-Bison 2-6, 0-2 CPL was paced by Jayce Kohls with 12 points.

ASHLAND – Pawnee Heights Tiger Fabian Flores was on fire with a career high 33 points to spark the Tigers past Ashland 79-53 in Friday’s Southern Plains Iroquois League basketball game.

Alec Carlson scored 20 points for Pawnee Heights 6-2, 1-2 SPIAA. The Tigers scored 45 points in the second half.
