TOPEKA — Two-time Western Athletic Conference champion Matthew Huslig will join two relay teams for the 5-1A state swimming championships Friday and Saturday. 

Great Bend’s swimmers finished runner-up with 332 points behind team champion Garden City (399) at the Western Athletic Conference swimming championship at Garden City.

*First-place WAC champion Matt Huslig has posted the seventh-fastest time in the 200 freestyle (1:52.39) and the 18th-fastest time in the 500 freestyle (5:20.82).

*The WAC runner-up 200-yard medley relay of Tyler Stein, Ellis Long, Allen To and Jacob Kennedy own the 16th-fastest time (1:52.24).

*The WAC runner-up 200-yard freestyle relay of Brody Feist, Allen To, Daniel Abbott and Matthew Huslig sport the 22nd-fastest time (1:38.64). 

*The WAC runner-up 400 freestyle relay owns the 22nd-fastest time (3:43.73) with Brody Feist, Daniel Abbott, Tyler Stein and Matthew Huslig competing.
